Ohev Speaker Series: Rabbi Daniel Sperber: Rabbi Daniel Sperber, winner of the Israel Prize for Jewish Studies, is one of the foremost contemporary rabbinic scholars and is universally respected for his brilliant scholarship. He is the rabbi of the Menachem Zion Synagogue in Jerusalem and professor of Talmud at Bar-Ilan University in Israel where he also serves as President of the Ludwig and Erica Jesselson Institute for Advanced Torah Studies. He is a prolific author and is widely cited by his peers. Rabbi Sperber has been a strong supporter of Yeshivat Maharat and of the concept of women’s ordination.
