Mazal Tov:
To Dafna and Matt Sherman on the birth of a baby boy!
To Lirone Wolf on her Bat Mitzvah this Shabbat!
To Keren Perla BenEzra & Adi Chana BenEzra on their B'not Mitzvah on Purim Day!
Kiddush this week is lovingly sponsored by Lirone's parents and sisters in honor of her Bat Mitzvah. The Kiddush will be split between the Chadar Tikvah and Social Hall landing area. The pit in the Social Hall will be blocked off for the day, for the family to be able to celebrate the simcha privately in the afternoon.
Bat Mitzvah Reminder
As a reminder, the bat mitzvah service at 9:15am will be women's tefilah from psukei d'zimrah through haftarah. There will be a male-led service first at 8:15am, which men attending the bat mitzvah are strongly encouraged to attend.
This Shabbat is Shabbat Zachor, which is named for the special maftir that commands us to remember Amalek - a maftir that we are all commanded to hear lained. Men and women can fulfill their obligation by hearing Zachor lained at the 8:15am service, and women can also fulfill their obligation by hearing it lained at the bat mitzvah service. There will also be an additional laining by Ariel Wolf immediately following the end of the bat mitzvah service on Shabbat morning.
Mishloach Manot SponsorshipDeadline Tomorrow, March 3rd by 4pm!
Seudah Shlishit: We will be having a light seudah shlishit this week between mincha and maariv, with a shiur by Rabbinic Intern Kate Rozansky.
We are blessed to be celebrating two more bnai mitzvah this month! Natalie Hochstein's bat mitzvah will be on March 11th, followed by a kiddush lunch. Gilad Skromne's bar mitzvah is on March 25th, followed by a dessert kiddush. Mazel tov!
