We are devastated by the news of the horrible earthquake that has killed tens of thousands of people in Turkey and Syria. Please consider contributing to the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington's Earthquake Relief Fund. Funds will go directly towards disaster relief through The Jewish Federations of North America, who will coordinate with those on the ground to ensure needs are met as swiftly as possible.
On Wednesday, February 15th, Maharat Friedman and Lea Mendelsohn moderated a talk sponsored by the Ohev Shiva Committee on how to best prepare the community for times of loss. A link to the recording can be found here.
