Community Resources
Shalhavet Learning Community of the Steinsaltz Yeshiva The former students of Rabbi Adin Steinsaltz, z'l, have created an amazing new program which are described in the links below involving one-on-one learning (via Zoom). No charges or enrollment fees are required. There are now over 140 participants, where - once a week on average, at times convenient for them, the partners study texts in the following categories, as determined by them: Prayer, the Parsha, Talmud, Tanya, and Perkei Avot. All levels of learning are welcomed, and the administrator of the program carefully matches these pairs.
Please find a brochure and links that outline the program, and directions on how to participate. Jeff Burt (jburtconsulting@gmail.com) and Nancy Switkes (tqquintent@gmail.com) have been part of the program, and encourage you to explore this great opportunity. All levels of learning are welcomed.
Yad Yehuda School Supplies Drive Yad Yehuda is requesting school supply donations. Our fellow community members benefit so much from your donations. All supplies needed but we especially would like donations of new, high quality backpacks! Please donate funds here: yadyehuda.org/donate or drop off items you purchase at the locations mentioned on our flyers below.
