Sunday, February 23, 2020 • 28 Shevat 5780
7:30 PM - 9:00 PMWe will review two non-fiction books. “A Visa or Your Life” by Kurt Roberg is a story of his life, from childhood in Germany to escape to Holland in 1939 to return to Germany, and finally, another escape to USA. The other book, “Ambiguity of Virtue” by Bernard Wasserstein describes just one incredible event: 11 Jewish boys, including Kurt Roberg and Alex Tscherny (a member of our shul), returning from Holland to Berlin in 1941 to obtain visas and then escaping again.
