Dear all,
We invite you to join us Sunday, January 6 at 7:00pm for a spiritual evening of Torah and song at our home. Yeshivat Chovevei Torah's new president, Rabbi Dov Linzer, will teach and share about the important and forward-thinking work of the Yeshiva. Chovevei alumnus, Rabbi Uri Topolosky of Kehilat Pardes in Aspen Hill – who is known for his special blend of music, spirituality and Torah – will lead us in a kumsitz.
Yeshivat Chovevei Torah is very dear to us. Its values are just that of our Ohev community – offering a Judaism that is empowering, expansive and inclusive, while grounded in deep Torah values, scholarship and spirituality.
Trailblazing as it still is, Yeshivat Chovevei Torah is in its 19th year and has over 125 dynamic graduates who serve in synagogues, day schools, college campuses, hospitals, and various Jewish institutions. Beyond that, the Yeshiva offers a critical voice of Torah that is intellectually honest and spiritually inspiring. Whether or not you can join us on Sunday evening, we encourage you to listen to Rabbi Linzer’s weekly podcasts: Joy of Text, Parsha in Progress, and Iggros Moshe A–Z.
Please let us know if you can come by emailing Jenni at jenni.lauferfamily@gmail.com. Our address is 15 West Lenox Street, Chevy Chase, MD. We will serve a light dinner.
Looking forward to seeing you and wishing all a sweet 2019,
Steve and Chani Laufer
