Conversions

The mikvah is available for conversions at no cost under the auspices of the Ohev Sholom Religious Leadership Team. In addition, the mikvah is available for outside conversions under the following conditions:

• The conversion must be under the auspices of a rabbi who is a member of a rabbinic association with an ethics code.
• The Rabbi must serve a congregation with an elected board of directors.
• The congregation must be based in the Washington DC region.
• The Rabbi must bring male or female attendants as appropriate to the conversion. No Ohev Sholom staff member or volunteer will participate in the conversion in any way beyond providing access to the mikvah and supervising its safe use.
